The staff that struck the great red sea,
Tore all the sea around.
And made Egyptians run and flee,
While others drop'ed right down.

The water rose up toward the sky.
And split in two great walls,
Like clear, bright, glass that's risen high,
So vast and strong, and tall.

Freed slaves stood solemnly in awe,
While Moses motioned in.
They stared at walls with no flaw,
While entering deep within.

Amazing is our caring Lord.
That He should care for us.
While other sinners round us hoard,
But He will be our trust!
