O man who dares to lead the flock,
Do not delight in royal taste,
Put on the attitude of Christ,
And wrap a towel ‘round your waist.

Disgrace for Christ was Moses’ crown,
And we must follow our I AM,
To know that Christ’s our Strength and Song,
That He’s our Warrior and our Lamb.

As David after God’s own heart,
Was fearless even when despised,
To him humility was fit,
If only God was glorified.

The Shepherd is our one true rock,
His path leads on ahead of us
And goes from Calv’ry on to peace.
Sing praise to Christ with endless bliss.
