O come let us gather at the altar
and pray for one another.
Let us pray for those who are sick,
they can't get well.
Let us pray for those who have lost a love one,
they can't go on.
Let us pray for those who are homeless,
they have nowhere to go.
Let us pray for those who have no food,
no clothing to wear.
O come let us gather at the altar
and pray for one another.
Let us pray for those who once believed
and now they gone astray.
Let us pray that all the different races
will see one another as the same.
Let us pray that we learn how to forgive,
that we learn how to be patience,
that we learn how to be thankful.
We come to this altar humbling ourselves,
praying to the living God,
who is our father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thine name,
thy kingdom come, thy will will be done,
who is the creator of everything.
We need your mercy, we need your care,
we need your love to spread to all mankind.
Forgive us for our evil thoughts, forgive us for our evil ways,
help us from day to day, to live the righteous way.
We come, we pray, we come, we pray for one another.
