Our king can be a God of war
Defending rich and poor,
And when in peaceful times he reigns,
All is not loss but gain.

The flowers bud when he is there,
And bloom forever fair.
His flowers are the least because,
He’ll give more help to us.

His steady hand subdues our fears
And wipes away our tears.
The devil cannot look at him,
And demons shall not win.

His people praise his princely name,
And wonder at his fame,
All nations will be blessed through Christ,
Whose favor can’t be priced.
