Not of This World
The lamb of God, the
Lord Sublime
Came down into this world
To take upon himself our Crimes,
New life for us unfurl.
But Satan loathes this gracious price
And then he luring calls.
We must escape the Devil’s vice
Lest we forever fall.
So Christ has helped us in this fight
To live for righteousness.
We’re sanctified. We’ve seen the light.
We strive toward Godliness.
Life is a journey ending when
We reach the paradise
That God has made for sinful men,
Far from the Devil’s lies.
And so we travel through this life,
And tempted as we go,
Just passing through this world of strife
Home of our wicked foe.
For we are envoys on this crust
Where God had Satan hurled,
We’re strangers to this place of dust
We are not of this world.
