Hear This, You Heads of the House of Jacob
Here this all kings,
each blessing brings an equal duty due.
Our Lord expressed when we transgressed, a hope for life anew.
His sacrifice would lone suffice, to justify His wrath.
Yet men, His blessed, deride and jest, His just and holy path.
The sun will dim to honor Him whose glory, none have known.
And men will call for mounts to fall, to hide them from God’s throne.
In latter days, His sword will raze, each kingdom by His will;
All men will know Your worth and flow to Zion’s Holy Hill.
O Lord, were not our sin forgot, we too would fear that day.
And only Hell with souls would swell; undying, damned decay.
But grace succeeds for those whose deeds, are righteous to our king,
Whose hope is laid in Christ who made the perfect offering.
My members war, still hope’s in store; Christ’s spirit dwells in me.
What law condemns my hope which stems from final victory?
Though oft’ I sin, Christ’s work will win; He molds me day by day,
Our Lord be praised whose glory raised, His son, the only way!
