This new and living way

1. There’s a new and living way
   Opened in the Lord today—
   Oh, what treasures are unveiled before our eyes!
   ’Tis the way of holiness,
   Perfect love and righteousness,
   Then from sin and all confusion let us rise.
   • Refrain:
     Oh, this perfect holiness
     Fills my happy soul with bliss,
     I am walking in the Spirit day by day;
     Oh, what love and joy and peace
     In my bosom doth increase—
     I have found it in this new and living way.
2. Oh, this land of Canaan rest
   Is the home of all the blest
   Who have entered into that within the veil;
   They are wholly sanctified,
   In God’s presence they abide,
   They have found abundant grace that cannot fail.
3. Oh, this new and living way
   Is a free and happy way,
   ’Tis so sweet to give the Lord complete control;
   Then His Spirit will come in,
   Cleanse thy heart from inbred sin,
   Bringing perfect peace and rest unto thy soul.
4. Come and boldly enter in,
   You may now the vict’ry win
   If your all upon the altar you will lay;
   Give the Lord complete control
   Of thy body and thy soul,
   Reign with Jesus in this new and living way.
