The lights fell from the sky,
And the fight fell from their eyes.
Their trembling knocked them to the ground,
Their fear kept them down.

Their screaming fell upon deaf ears
And starvation rekindled their fears.
A few could see harmony in the distance.
The peace that awaited them,

If they put up resistance.
The heat was so intense…
The only breeze fueled fires,
That would not relent.

He promised us green pastures,
If we walked through this dark time.
He promised us still waters,
If we made it through this… However unkind.

Get up and believe!!!

Although there are rough times,
He does not deceive.
Walk through this,
And eternal peace we shall receive.

Walk with him and feel relief.
Our suffering? We shall find out what it was for.
All our questions answered…
We will feel pain no more.

It is worth the burns we will get on our feet.
To experience a love that won’t retreat.
